Leadership and Duplication

The founding philosophy of any business in our industry is one word: duplication. Duplication is the goal, duplication is the magic, and duplication is what will allow you to live the life of your dreams.

If the only way you learn how to make your business grow is through your efforts alone, then the only thing you have is a glorified job because it won’t work without you. Growing your business beyond the extent of your own physical effort requires duplication. And when it’s done right, duplication equals paid freedom: getting paid continuously while having the freedom to live the lifestyle of your dreams.

Imagine having 10, 100, 1,000, or 10,000 people in your business duplicating the very same effort you’re putting forth in your business today. If that’s music to your ears you’re on the right track. If not, it’s time to start working on the most essential element of duplication: YOU.

The truth is, whether you decide to lead or not, the people on your team are going to look to you for leadership.  And right or wrong, the precedent you set will be followed. What you do affects everyone around you and the moment we stop making excuses and start taking that responsibility seriously, we begin initiating ourselves into the ranks of leadership.

If you want a great team, be great. It’s that simple. Lukewarm, mildly interested, mousy IBOs don’t inspire teams to action; commitment does. Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and Martin Luther King didn’t inspire people because of what they believed; they were an inspiration to millions because despite their obstacles they committed their lives to their cause.
